Abstract

OBJECTIVE


To determine the impact of multivitamin multimineral Antioxidant formulation maternus sachets on female fertility.


STUDY DESIGN


A single-blinded clinical pilot study was initiated to determine the effect of multivitamin multimineral Antioxidant formulation maternus sachets on female fertility.


RESULTS


Thirty women aged 30-42 yrs who had tried unsuccessfully to conceive for more than 6-12 months completed the study. After 3 months, 5 of the 15 women in the supplement group were pregnant (33%) and none of the 15 women in the placebo group were (P<.01). No significant side effects were noted.


CONCLUSION


Sufficient evidence exists that oxidative stress can jeopardize fertilization, implantation and embryo viability. Supplementation of  Maternus Sachets  may have positive impact on female fertility. Maternus Sachets  Protects ovum & gametes,Maternus Sachets  Ensures successful nidation, Maternus Sachets  Improves pregnancy rate & outcome, Maternus Sachets  Reduces chances of complications in pregnancy,Maternus Sachets  Prevents & reduces chances of pre-eclampsa & PIH,  Maternus Sachets  Helps in adequate growth of foetus Maternus Sachets  Reduces IUGR chances ,Maternus Sachets  Reduces risk of abortions. Maternus sachets may provide an attractive alternative  complement to conventional fertility therapy as it helps in promoting fertility, Aids in uterine Lining, helps to Promote Ovulation & Eggs, Promote the success of IVF, Regulates Menstruation. Yet, there is a need for further research with more subjects and research at molecular level.
