    Osteoarthritis is a chronic, inflammatory joint disease in the world. In India more than 20% of total population is suffering from arthritis, although the main cause of disease is unknown, morphological changes observed in OA include cartilage erosion as well as inflammation. Complex network of risk factors and biochemical parameters, including cytokines, proteolytic enzymes trigger the disease, by knowing the exact mechanism of progressive of disease, it may help in finding the new drug for reducing pain and curing of the joint disease. Conventional medicines do not prevent progression of osteoarthritis. Natural supplements like glucoamine and methyl sulfonyl methane (MSM) have gained importance as a better alternative for the prevention of osteoarthritis progression. Eating a Natural supplement like Artisol tablet can provide all the necessary nutrients and helps prevent progression of osteoarthritis. The present paper Reviews the Role of Artisol tablets developed by R&D cell of Lactonova Nutripharm Pvt Ltd. Hyderabad in prevention of osteoarthritis progression.

    In the present research work, an attempt was made to prepare, characterize and to perform dissolution and release rate kinetics of an anti-parasitic drug TINIDAZOLE.  Sodium alginate and Guar Gum were selected as polymers to retard the release of Tinidazole from microspheres. Preformulation emphasis FTIR studies were performed between Tinidazole, sodium alginate and guar gum, where no change in the peaks of functional groups in Tinidazole was observed. Total of 7 trials were prepared by varying concentrations proportions of 1:5, 1:6, 1:7, 1:8, 1:6, 1:7 and 1:8 with sodium alginate to guar gum and vice-versa. Comparative release studies were performed, of which formulation F-5 was optimized with drug release of 91.45 along with other parameter of drug entrapment of 97.29%, particle size range 28.71 ± 2.0. Release rate kinetics of Tinidazole microspheres were observed to be followed in following order, based on the regression coefficient value R2 PEPPAS MODEL 0.998> ZERO ORDER 0.976> HIGUCHIS PLOT 0.850. Hence based on the release rate kinetics data, release of Tinidazole form prepared polymeric microspheres follows PEPPAS MODEL with R2 value of 0.998. Dissolution studies of Tinidazole were performed after one month stability studies and the percent of release was found to be 90.23%

    The Drugs have narrow absorption window in the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) will have poor absorption. For these drugs, gastro retentive drug delivery systems offer the advantage in prolonging the gastric emptying time. Swellable tablets of ciprofloxacin hydrochloride were developed by using a combination of swallable polymers like Carbopol, Sodium alginate and Xanthan gum was developed. Other common tablet additives like directly compressible Lactose, Calcium Sulphate, and Calcium Carboxy Methylcellulose and Magnesium Stearate were added. In vitro dissolution studies were carried out. Among the 13 formulations F13 was having a good in vitro drug release and rate of swelling, F13 was selected as best formulation. Stability studies were carried out for the same formulation.
